KILLED: "Downloader - YH"

In the last episode of Downloader-YH, I had tried about a dozen different methods of killing the Downloader-YH on my home PC. I had booted in safe mode and deleted the files, deleted from start-up, deleted my temp files, etc., etc., and still I got the pop-up from McAfee, and the message that the file could not be cleaned, downloaded or quarantined. (An Aside: several people gave their infected file names; it appears that everyone's infected file is named something different, so don't go looking for those files. Mine was named ikzzzz.exe.) In the end, I shut down the computer, unplugged it, told my kids it was off-limits, and wrote to this board.
I came to work and picked the brain of our desktop guru. He suggested to turn off System Restore, run McAfee, try to rid it via a virus scan, boot in safe mode, delete the files, and see if the file deletes.
Here's the funny thing. I went home, plugged in the machine, booted up, and NO VIRUS WARNING pop-up appeared. I ran McAfee. Nothing. I looked for the files, GONE. I have no idea what happened, but somewhere between unplugging the machine and plugging it in again, the virus DISAPPEARED.
I'm not asking the computer Gods any questions. I'm happy. I wish you all Godspeed to a clean PC. This forum is a great resource.
